ZNShine Solar to set up module manufacturing factory in Yunnan China

September 26, 2022

ZNShine Solar set up a solar module manufacturing plant in the province  of Yunnan with an annual capacity of 2GW.

Slated to begin construction by June this year and be fully operational by the end of Sept 2022, the facility has world-leading automatic production lines capable of producing modules with 182mm and 210mm solar cells.

The development of the factory is the next step in ZNShine‘s product localization strategy, designed to better serve domestic as well as worldwide customers, according to the company.

William Wang, President at ZNShine Solar, said the establishment of the plant now makes sense due to incentives for solar manufacturing included in the recent country’s policy and the global energy transition trend.

He added that the plant will give the manufacturer more control over the supply chain while also simplifying raw material sourcing.

Yunnan-based ZNShine said it expects the plant to create up to hundreds new jobs in the area, and will tie up the relationship with the local government and strategic partners.

ZNShine is aiming to reach 10GW of module production at its 3 facilities in China in 2022.
